Vow Renewal | Outer Banks Wedding
When I met up with the Deering family at the "Town Hall" beach access in Nags Head, I knew they were special people. I didn't realize how blessed I would be by this ceremony! Mr. & Mrs. Deering were celebrating 50 years of marriage and each of their sons took a turn officiating the vow renewal ceremony at sunset. The ceremony was filled with so much love and was so meaningful!
Mr. & Mrs. Deering shared a beautiful story about their wedding bands being engraved. They told the story about how just before their original wedding -50 years ago- they separately (and secretly) took each wedding band to be engraved as a reminder to keep God first in their marriage. When they exchanged the rings, they surprised each other with the same beautiful sentiment! Talk about a perfect match!
I love being able to photograph weddings and tell love stories through still frames but this vow renewal was truly inspiring! Tears streaming down everyones cheeks were wiped away as laughter erupted after a cute joke. Heads were bowed and even the grandchildren were fighting happy tears! They finished it off with a big family hug! Deering Family, thank you for allowing me to be there and take a little bit of inspiration home with me that Wednesday!
